Hello and welcome to my blog!  My name is Noleen Narainsamy and I am an Audiologist in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.  I love all that is hearing related.  My mission is to help the world become a better place by helping people hear better and as a result live better lives.

I was born in Durban, and spent most of life there.  I went to school and university in the sunny city.  Soon after I finished my mandatory year of community service at R. K. Khan Hospital, I moved to Ermelo, Mpumalanga to pursue an opportunity in private practice.  I enjoyed working in a small town, the people were wonderful and I learnt many new things!

When I moved back to Kwazulu-Natal, I was closer to my friends and family there were more opportunities available for me to carry out my dream.  I began working for a private retail practice called “Lifesound”.  My then employer was not too keen on keeping the practice and offered it to me.  I snapped up the chance to finally have my own baby (practice) and re-branded under my own name (you can check out my website here).  I had wanted to make the brand of the practice personal and more traditional.  Amidst all of this, I was busy completing my Master’s degree in Audiology.  I finally graduated in 2016!  I was so happy and relieved at the same time.  It was lots of hard work but I learned a great deal and I think it has definitely made me a better Audiologist.

The practice has been up and running since 2013 and I am continuing to learn about better ways to help my patients.  My work (if I can call it that) comes second only to my loved ones.  I love it, I love my patients and I will continue to strive to offer quality services with good value to the community.
